Do you make personal resolutions for each new year? I admit that I never have, because I tend to make changes when I recognize that changes are needed. Some changes, however, can be hard to carry out - losing 15 pounds, for example - and those are the ones that tend to become resolutions. It seems that in making a goal a resolution, we officially declare that we are going to make this change once and for all, which helps us to keep the goal in focus over the time it takes to accomplish it.
Business goals are no different. If you want to be more organized in your business, you're probably not going to make much headway just by desiring it as an outcome. You first resolve to become more organized in your business and then you identify what you need to do to achieve that goal. It may mean improving processes, utilizing better tools, or seeking administrative support from a virtual assistant.
When deciding on resolutions for your business, it can help to ask yourself some simple questions:
1. What is not working in my business?
2. What can I do better?
3. What do I need help with?
The answers to these questions should help you identify areas of your business that can be improved, and then it's just a matter of finding the right solutions and doing the work to implement them. But it all starts with a resolution to do better.
Personally - if you haven't guessed - I have resolved to lose 15 pounds in the first half of 2024. For my business, I've resolved to learn more about AI (Artificial Intelligence) so I can better advise my clients on its use. What about you?
